STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS
ABOUT TARGET 1:
It is urgent for Student Government to build closer relationships with the diverse communities and organizations that make Carolina so special. For so long, campus organizations have not had a voice in executive decision-making and have been alienated from Student Government. This administration will prioritize student organizations in discussions with the administration and in Executive Branch initiatives, and actively seek feedback to inform Student Government’s policies.
TARGET-SPECIFIC POLICIES:
Goal 1.1 – Operation CONNECT: Repairing Relationships with Student Organizations
Operation CONNECT bridges the gap between student organizations and student government through a Student Organizations Board of Representatives and an open forum for communication. By fostering collaboration and addressing concerns, this initiative ensures all student voices are heard and valued.

Goal 1.2 – Operation CONNECT: Collaboration with Greek Life
Partnering with Greek Life, the Alvarez Administration will enhance cross-club community service efforts, connecting sororities, fraternities, and other student organizations to amplify their impact on campus and the Chapel Hill community. Equal representation and collaboration are central to this initiative.
